| BALL PURCHASE |
 |
Each camper will
be required to have his own ball at Camp. You can bring
your own or you can buy a Nike (size 5) camp ball for
$30. The camp ball is inscribed with the Carolina logo.
Balls are pre-purchased via the application form or online
registration and are handed out at check-in. You may choose
to cancel your order at a later date but there will only
be a very limited number of balls for sale at registration.

| VOICEMAIL |
 |
In order to keep
camp affordable, we do not hire an answering service.
We use voicemail. |
| E-MAIL |
 |
The preferred method of communication
is e-mail. This manner helps us keep a detailed record
of all correspondence as well as being able to respond
to you quicker than voicemail.
During camp, you may e-mail your son as often as you wish
at no extra charge. E-mails will be delivered at lunch
and dinner. E-mails to campers are not saved correspondences.

| WHAT IF I WANT TO PLAY UP? |
 |
The minimum age to attend the
Junior Advanced Camp is 9-1/2 by camp time. You must
be born in the year 1998 or earlier.
The minimum age to attend the Junior Elite Camp is 10-1/2
by camp time. You must be born in the year 1997 or earlier.
The minimum age to attend the Senior Advanced Camp is
13-1/2 camp time. You must be born in the year 1994
or earlier.
The minimum age to attend the Senior Elite Camp is 14-1/2
camp time. You must be born in the year 1993 or earlier.
The oldest camper can be 19, or born after 12/31/1989
to attend the Senior Camp or Senior Elite Camp.
For those not meeting these age requirements, we're
sorry, but we have to draw a line somewhere. We realize
you may feel ready for the next level, however, most
of the campers that come to Camp are also highly skilled
players and therefore, these age guidelines tend to
work very well. It is our responsibility to make sure
that those age-appropriately enrolled campers have comparable,
good quality competition. [top]
|
| PHONE, REFRIGERATOR, MICROWAVE, ICE |
 |
Due to the increasing lack of
socialization and disruption that phones at camp are creating,
we STRONGLY discourage cell phones. In the event
that we find a camper with a cell phone that causes disruption,
such a disturbing a roommate's right to quiet while sleeping, the phone will be retained in the dorm supervisor's room
until camp's end. We will have plenty of phones for campers
to use to call home anytime they wish. To make long distance
calls, campers will need a calling card or know how to
make a collect call. You are allowed to bring dorm-sized
refrigerators and any snacks or drinks that you wish.
We will have a microwave available. There is plenty of
ice water and Gatorade on the fields. |
| FORGOTTEN ITEMS |
 |
If you forget to bring a necessary
item to camp, please ask the dorm supervisor if there
is a "loaner" available as soon as you become aware of
the forgotten item. No-charge loaners, which are in limited
supply, are things like blankets and sheets and pillows. We will also
have a limited number of items, including toothbrushes
and deodarant available
for sale at a nominal cost. |
| LOST/STOLEN ITEMS |
 |
All of your son’s gear should
have his name in permanent marker on them. We will have
permanent markers at registration for the gear you will
receive. Lost or stolen items will not be replaced!
Please prepare your son to be mindful of his belongings
and to report a lost or stolen item immediately to the
dorm supervisor and coach. In the event we find a camper's
lost or stolen item after the camper has left camp, we
will mail it back at your expense with prior approval
from you. [top] |
| VISITING CAMP |
 |
Visitation at
camp is not allowed. Due to the many difficulties
in parking, communications, and safety that the increased
spectator population at camp has created in the past,
we do not allow family or friends on the fields for any
of the camp sessions until the final game on check-out
morning. Visitors are also not allowed on our floors in
the dorm after 4pm on check-in day until 10am on check-out
morning. We appreciate and expect your understanding and
cooperation. If you need to arrange a necessary personal
visit (i.e. bringing forgotten items, a birthday cake,
etc.), you must contact the dorm supervisor to arrange
the visit. Should you want to arrange an official tour
of campus, you will need to contact the Admissions Office
at (919)966-3621. Should you want to arrange a meeting
with Coach Bolowich, Camp is typically not a good time
to do so. However, if it is the only time you will be
in the area, call him in advance for an appointment at
919-962-0466. Campers are able to talk with Coach Bolowich
at anytime during Camp. [top] |
| PARENT SIDE TRIPS |
 |
Some of the beautiful places in
North Carolina to visit while your son is with us at Camp
are:
Appalachian Mountains
(Biltmore Estate & Winery, Maggie Valley,
Greystone Inn, Skyline Lodge)
North Carolina beaches (Wrightsville, Wilmington, Outer
Banks, Nags Head)
High Point ("furniture capital of the world")
Pinehurst (golfing)
Virginia's historic Williamsburg.
All of these attractions are 4 hours or less away. Don't
forget to visit the best mall in the state, The Streets
at Southpoint, off exit 276 on I-40, only 10 minutes from

The Raleigh-Durham

15 minutes away from Camp. It serves most major airlines.
We will only pick up campers who are not traveling on a minior ticket - usually ages 15 an older).
Due the increasing airline regulations about flying unescorted,
we are unable to provide minor pickup service. To read
more detailed information regarding the Airport Shuttle
Service, download the PDF Airport Shuttle Guide on the
